The Idaho Department of Fish and Game believes fishing is for everybody - regardless of physical abilities. To help reach that goal the Department is actively converting many fishing and boating access areas to accessible sites. These sites will have hard finished unloading pads, pathways to accessible restrooms and boat ramps, accessible fishing platforms and in some places accessible picnic tables and shelters.
The Department recently completed a survey of all access sites in the state and is updating plans to address accessibility needs throughout the state. Because of terrain limitations or very low use some sites may not be accessible to everyone. A Department goal is to make the fishing program accessible everyone. We will survey the state again in about 5 years to gauge our progress at making fishing a truly accessible experience.
The map shows the seven administrative regions of IDFG. Click on the region of the state, or the list, you are most interested in and a list of accessible facilities will be displayed.
The Department also publishes a brochure and guide book of accessible sites and facilities. For a copy please write, call or visit your local office.
