What's a Super Hunt?
It is a fund-raising drawing for big game tags. The tags are handed out to winners in two drawings.
Super Hunt tags allow winners to participate in any open hunt in the state for deer, elk, pronghorn or moose. That includes general hunts and controlled hunts.
The
Super Hunt Combo winner is able to hunt
all four species - deer, elk, pronghorn or moose in any open hunt.

2010 Super Hunt Winner, Don Seitz
Don Seit'z friends thought he was wasting his time buying a Super Hunt ticket. They told him Idaho doesn't have any elk because wolves have eaten all of them. He bought a ticket anyway and won a Super Hunt tag for an elk. Here's his answer to his friends back home in Missouri.

Super Hunts began in 2004 as a way to raise money for the
Access Yes! Program, which helps assure hunter and angler access to and across private lands by compensating willing landowners.
Entering the Super Hunt drawing does not affect applying for or holding controlled hunt tags. Super Hunt tags are in addition to any general and controlled hunt tags a hunter has applied for or may already hold (except where other restrictions apply).
